Introduction to Environmental Science

       ES 110G is a one semester, non-majors course that provides students with a solid foundation in the basic principles of environmental science.  The course objectively discusses scientific and social issues related to ecology, conservation, food and agriculture, health and toxicology, climate change, pollution control, energy sources and uses, waste disposal, etc.

Introduction to Botany

Introduction to Botany is a new, 3-credit course that introduces students to the flora of the Sacramento Mountains and Tularosa Basin.  The course includes a discussion of plant anatomy, physiology, taxonomy, and ecology.  The course also discusses the medicinal and folkloric uses of our local flora.
