Changing Your Password on My.NMSU.edu

(once activated, you can reset your password yourself)

1. In a modern web browser, go to http://accounts.nmsu.edu
2. In the menu at the upper left of the window, click on the "Forgot your NMSU Password?" link.
3. Fill in your Social Security Number and birth date information, then click the Continue button.
4. The next screen asks your secret question. Enter the answer for your secret question, Then click the Check button.
5. The system will assign you a randomly generated password that you will change upon logging into my.nmsu.edu. Make sure you note the password down or you will have to go through the process again.
   TIP: Double click on the password to highlight it, then right click and select copy from the popup menu. Go immediately to my.nmsu.edu and enter your username. Right click in the password field and select paste from the popup menu to place your temporary password in the field.
