Community Resources
In addition to credit classes and a variety of academic programs, NMSU-A offers not-for-credit community education classes in partnership with Alamogordo Public Schools, Adult Basic Education classes, facility rental, a Small Business Development Center, and a library which is open to the public. Please check out all that we have to offer!
- Alamogordo Community Education -- Community Education courses are not-for-credit courses designed to provide opportunities to enrich the lives of all community members. If you want to learn something new -- or have a hobby or skill you would like to share with others -- check out Alamogordo Community Education.
- Small Business Development Center -- The Small Business Development Center or (SBDC) was established to help people make informed business decisions. The Center offers free confidential business counseling and ongoing training activities to meet the community needs. If you are a small business owner or prospective entrepreneur the SBDC can help you in your business ventures.
- Adult Basic Education -- NMSU-A's Adult Basic Education offers GED prep classes and more! For more information please call 439-3812.
- Tays Special Event Center -- Tays is available to rent out for public and private events. Whether you're planning a wedding reception, family reunion, or corporate training, we would be delighted to assist you in planning your special event. For more information please call 439-3659.
- Townsend Library -- The NMSU-A Townsend Library is open to the public! Community members are eligible to receive a community borrower's card as well as utilize our online resources from within the library. The library also has experienced staff members available to answer any questions you might have.
