The Tays
Special Events Center includes a gymnasium, commons areas, permanent
stage, music room, kitchen, and academic classrooms. The facility
serves the college and community for multiple functions such as:
classes, fitness activities, concerts, conferences, sporting events,
and open recreation. The center received its name from Mevin and
Helen Tays, individuals who have made a significant contribution to New
Mexico State University-Alamogordo. The gymnasium concourse space
is 13,340
square feet. The total arena seating is 2,196 people.
The Tays Special Events Center has 500 parking spots and there is also
an additional parking spaces available on the grounds of New Mexico
State
University at Alamogordo in the Science Center parking lot.
Because of the
facility ability to serve multiple functions rental must
be scheduled with the special events coordinator at (505)
439-3659. We have given you
