AREA DIMENSIONS AND DESCRIPTION
· 116' X 115' w/bleacher retracted & 116' x 63' w/bleacher extended

· Height from the floor to the ceiling beams is 25 feet.
· Height from the stage floor to the ceiling beams is 29 feet.
· Height from the stage floor to the valance is 14 feet.
· The shape of the seating area is rectangular. 

ARENA SEATING CAPACITY
· Total arena seating is 2,196 occupants (1,412 Bleachers/ 784 Chairs)<>
· Total arena seating/standing is 2,092 occupants. (1,412 Bleachers/680 Standing)
· Total gym floor standing is 1,760 occupants.
· Total bleacher seating is 1,412 occupants.
· Stage seating is 90 occupants, standing is 197 occupants.
· Lobby seating is 160 occupants, standing is 296 occupants.
· Main floor conference/dining seating is 943 occupants.  Combination of auditorium seating and
  conference style seating you should use a figure of seven square feet for auditorium style and
  fifteen square feet for conference style.
· Wheel chair seating is 16 occupants

STAGE
This arena is equip with a permanent stage of 1,835 square feet. The stage is a trapezoid shape with 3'4" heights. The front part of the stage has a 53'0" width and a 38'0" width in the back. The depth of the stage is 32'0" from the front of the stage to the back. This stage is equipped with a draw curtain from the ceiling to the floor. There are two staircases that have permanent railings from floor to stage with a 2'9" wide ramp.

STAGE LIGHTING TRACK
Permanent track lighting on stage 32'0" X 12'0". The platform has a capacity of 20 psf. This equates to a joist load of 106 plf for each joist. Point loads should be distributed as much as possible to multiple joists.

SERVICE ACCESSES:
The Tays Special Events Center is equipped with three service accesses:
· Two north side accesses to the arena floor. The equipment passes through an opening on the
  floor level that is 6'10" high and 5'10" wide.
· One south side accesses to the arena floor. The equipment passes through an opening on the
  floor level that is 6'10" high and 5'10" wide.
· Loading Dock (8'0" high and 8'0" wide). 

PRODUCTION POWER
Total 600 amps available for electrical power.  If audio visual equipment is set up on the floor (behind public seating) you will need a 100 ft. of cable.

RIGGING:
The rigging beams are 25'0" above the arena floor and are 9'0" apart in the center. The gymnasium roof has a capacity of 12 psf. This 12 psf equates to a joist load of 96 plf. Point loads should be distributed as much as possible to multiple joists. The beams go from east to west which is stage right to stage left in the normal concert configuration. There are no obstructions between the beams.

Note:  If you have to hang/suspend items from the ceiling, the promoter will need to rent an uplift.  An uplift can be rented from Uptown Rentals at 437-6611 or RentX at 434-4570.

DRESSING ROOMS/LOCKERS:
The Tays Special Events Center has four dressing rooms: two artist dressing rooms (119 sq. ft.) located on the north side of the stage and two locker and shower rooms (149 sq. ft.) located on the east side of the building with 16 lockers available.

LOADING INFORMATION
Large and small trucks can back up to the loading dock.

Truck Parking during the event:  Beside building.

PARKING
The Tays Special Events Center has parking that will accommodate 255 vehicles, 4 motorcycle parking and 9 handicapped parking. The adjacent NMSU-A campus parking lots from the Tays Special Event Center will accommodate 1,000 vehicles.

Parking for the crew bus is on the north side of the Tays Special Events Center.  Parking for the artist's bus is in the back of the Tays Special Events Center.
